Senior Instrument & Electrical Reliability Engineer

Temporary Position – 6 month duration

Encadria Staffing Solutions is currently looking to employ an Instrument & Electrical Reliability Engineer in Victoria, Texas. This opportunity is available with one of our clients, INVISTA. A typical day for you in this position will involve:

  • Modeling safety and environmental excellence, in a manner consistent with our values and principles
  • Understanding and managing key risks by establishing a risk profile aligned with site expectations
  • On a site-wide scale, developing and leading reliability programs such as equipment “bad actor” analyses, a control valve program, equipment maintenance plans and Inspection, Testing and Preventative Maintenance strategies
  • Developing clear, concise, and actionable reliability plans to maximize equipment and process availability, while minimizing downtime
  • Developing and executing solutions to eliminate asset condition deficiencies to improve process performance and reliability
  • Understanding Safety Instrumented Systems design, implementation, and analysis
  • Providing reliability engineering support for project work including development of options to achieve the project objectives and ensuring engineering guidelines and the Mechanical Integrity program requirements are followed
  • Preparing and executing design packages that will improve safety, and reliability of the plant including capital improvements
  • Executing and mentoring the completion of root cause analysis (Cause Mapping) of unplanned failures of equipment
  • Understanding Mechanical Integrity Systems as it applies to the Chemical Industry
  • Applying ITPM Strategies and Deficiency Management to critical assets
  • Employing Process Safety Management (PSM) by using the Management Of Change (MOC) process
  • Leading Root Cause Analysis investigations and resulting action items
  • Timely completion of all action items generated during the closing report of manufacturing area Process Hazard Analysis

You are required to have the following credentials for this role:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 5+ years of Instrumentation and Electrical Engineering experience in a chemical, petrochemical or refinery plant environment or equivalent military experience

You will be ahead of the rest if you have the following qualifications:

  • 10+ years of Instrumentation and Electrical Engineering experience in a chemical, petrochemical or refinery plant environment or equivalent military experience

Here are the physical requirements of this job in a typical work day:

  • Must be able to enter and move about in confined spaces and wear personal protective equipment
  • Must be able to climb stairs and/or ladders in a plant environment
  • Must be able to work in extreme temperatures and weather conditions for various periods of time
  • Must be willing to work periodic workdays more than 8.5 hours
