Plant Production Shift Supervisor

In this role you will work  2nd shift  2pm to 10pm.

Key Responsibilities: 
a) The Production Shift Supervisor is a highly versatile, working supervisor for the assigned shift.  This position leads by example by being a hands-on supervisor regularly performing all tasks in the production plant while taking the role of the primary operator of plant production, maintenance, safety, quality, and on-time shipping and receiving for the given shift. 
b) This position must intimately understand plant and equipment operations, along with all related operational risks. The Production Shift Supervisor understands and complies with product guidelines and specifications. They also optimize operational efficiencies and productivity levels wherever, and whenever, possible.
c) At all times, the Production Shift Supervisor is responsible to see that safety procedures are being followed in the production facility while acting as a role model for all employees.  They shall also communicate clearly and effectively with other Production Shift Leaders before/after their respective shift. 
d) The Production Shift Supervisor motivates the workers assigned by the Plant Manager to the respective shift to meet production standards, helps to solve problems, and assigned duties and responsibilities as required to accomplish required tasks. Assures plant floor organization and plant cleanliness to keep a clean and safe working environment.
e) The Production Shift Supervisor is responsible for inspecting set up of machines, equipment, incoming materials, and completed work along with quality checks and record keeping.

a) Other Production Shift Supervisors: Establish positive, collaborative working relationships.
b) Operations Supervisor, Shipping/Receiving/Inventor Control Coordinator, Business Operations Manager: Work to understand production needs
c) Other plant and contract labors:  Respectfully communicate, and encourage whenever possible.

7) Qualifications
a) High mechanical aptitude with 10+ experience as a millwright, maintenance mechanic, or related technical position.
b) Highly flexible with regard to overtime requirements on assigned shift.  Capable of working other shift(s) as required, including first shift when the company is not in production.
c) Exceptional communication and teamwork skills.
