We have temporary-to-hire AND Direct Hire opportunities available!

This is a 2-2-3 12 hour swing shift working  6pm-6am.

What can you expect?

Help production workers (operators) by performing duties that include supplying or holding materials or tools, and cleaning work area and equipment.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  1. Support and participate in continuous improvement efforts to include Kaizen, 5S, TPM and other continuous improvement efforts, as required of this position. This includes activities to this specific position/department, as well as company-wide initiatives in other areas of the organization.

  2. Operate work center machines safely and identify unsafe work behaviors, areas, and methods.

  3. Participate in the manufacture and distribution of quality finished products that meets specifications and meets/exceeds established production standards.

  4. Maintain paper for presses and put new parent rolls on machine.

  5. Ensure adequate and proper cores are available prior to product runs.

  6. Maintain trim room, recyclable paper and compactor.

  7. Identify and react to production problems (safety, quality, shortage of raw materials, out of spec raw materials and inventory issues.)

  8. Perform machine clean-ups as required. Maintain a clean, organized, “set in order”, and “shine” environment in the work areas. Clean hoses, drip pans decks and related equipment during changeovers.

  9. Attend and participate in meetings and training sessions as required (e.g. safety, quality, production, teams, informational, continuous improvement, and others) as requested.

  10. Troubleshoot machine problems and determine which problems need to escalate to maintenance and/or team coaches.

  11. Willingness and flexibility to work a variety of shifts that involve all days of the week as needed. This includes ability and willingness to work overtime on short notice as determined by the business.
