General Laborer (Temp to Hire)

Job Objective: Work with operators to record/reconcile roll information. Assist operators with removing bands/ wire from product. Perform various housekeeping tasks, empty trash, clean breakroom, grounds, and dock cleaning as required. Utilize broom and shovel as required to perform housekeeping functions.

Work Conditions (Non-Climate Controlled): Indoors. Temperatures can range from 35 degrees in the winter to highs of 90 degrees plus in the summer months.

Hours of work: 8, with overtime required some days.

Shifts per week: 5, maybe some occasional Saturday work.

PPE: gloves, safety shoes with puncture resistant insole, safety glasses, safety vest

Essential Job Functions:

Function: Support Plant Activities/Functions

Activity: Transfer recyclable material (palletized, bundled, baled or within gaylords). Record information from inbound/outbound loads.

Standing/walking (continuously) up to 2 hours at a time.

Pushing/pulling with force of up to 30lbs.

Lifting material up to 50lbs.

Function: Clean work area

Activity: Push/pull (rarely) broom to collect loose debris on floor.

Pushing 5 to 10 lbs. both push and pull with force of 10 lbs.

(self-selected height) horizontal over 20 ft. on a concrete surface

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Forklift Operator Experience (Must Have)
• Roll Clamp Operator Experience (Nice to Have)
• Manufacturing: 1 year (Preferred)
• Industrial: 1 year (Preferred)
