Role Responsibilities
The Traffic Control Associate is responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and uninterrupted flow of all truck traffic during warehouse expansion and daily shipping operations. This role directly supports site safety (Path to Zero), minimizes congestion, protects critical operations (rock unloading, preloads, receiving), and enables the shipping team to meet dwell time and service expectations.

Key Responsibilities
- Direct all truck traffic (preloads, live loads) to proper locations.
- Control truck release timing to prevent congestion and keep lanes clear.
- Stop or redirect traffic to protect employees, drivers, and contractors.
- Maintain radio communication with shipping, loaders, and guard shack.
- Enforce site rules, routes, and PPE requirements.

- Safety First: Proactively prevents risks and unsafe interactions.
- Flow Control: No blocked lanes or unnecessary backups.
- Communication: Clear, timely direction to drivers and team.
- Ownership: Takes responsibility for yard flow and speaks up on issues.
- HS Diploma or GED
- Bilingual Spanish skills
- Previous Guard/Scale Shack experience a plus
Success Measures
- Supports <60 min dwell time
- No traffic-related incidents or near misses
- Smooth, uninterrupted yard flow
