Job Description

Specialized clerical work in coordinating functions related to the procurement, receiving and storage of equipment and supplies for the Maintenance and Production Departments

Principal Accountabilities

  • Receive packages from delivery drivers.
  • Check in received items using packing slips.
  • Deliver received items to kitting area or store room as required.
  • Research availability and source of purchase for emergency and critical spare parts and repair parts
  • Prepare all purchase requisitions, coordinate and expedite approvals as required, maintain all budgetary records and provide follow-up action with accounting, buyers, vendors, requestors and receiving
  • Gather, input, retrieve and maintain maintenance information in computer systems
  • Manage Maintenance parts Inventories
  • Keep an up-to-date record of materials used so that minimum stock levels are maintained
  • Deliver parts on a loaded push cart as needed to locations in busy plant environment
  • General clerical duties, including filing, posting of notices, and ordering of parts and supplies as directed
  • Develop and issue computer reports as requested
  • May be required to become a certified forklift driver
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge & Skills

  • Must be able to take direction / supervision and work cooperatively with others
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to perform general office work
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to use computer and related software programs to accomplish assigned tasks
  • Experience with MP2 a plus
  • Ability to demonstrate mid-level knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of office practices and procedures
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to maintain complex records and to assemble and organize data
  • General IT experience troubleshooting passwords, IP addresses, software issues, etc.

Experience & Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Two (2) years of related clerical experience in plant maintenance

Physical Requirements/Working Environment

  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
